September Maskerade – Allure Beauty Box, Sept 2023

Back again with another Allure Beauty Box review. The September 2023 box is chock full of masks and I’m here for it. Let’s pop that top and see what $25.00 gets us this month. Again, late to the party with the review – but, hey, I’m working on it.

Contents:

  1. Kaja Beauty Bento Bouncy Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio in Chocolate Dahlia – Full Size ($26.00)
  2. Eve Lom Rescue Mask – Full Size ($58.00)
  3. Kristin Ess Strand Strengthening Reconstructive Moisture Mask, 2fl oz ($6.99)
  4. Kiehl’s Since 1851: Midnight Recovery Concentrate Moisturizing Face Oil, 0.14 fl oz (~$8.40, $30.00 for 0.5 fl oz)
  5. MUDMASKY Serum-Infused Moisturizer – Full Size ($55.00)
  6. Rael Collagen Sheet Mask ($3.99)

Grand total: ~$158.38

Obviously there are a lot of mask products here and I haven’t had an adequate amount of time to try them all out just yet – however we’ll take a peak at what we’ve got.

This month we’re seeing multiple mask products, along with one beauty item of your choosing (if you select in time!) I went with the eyeshadow trio simply because of how cute the packaging design was. Even if I don’t wear it, this would make for a great gift! I haven’t had much time to try out the masks quite yet, but I’m eager to slap these suckers on my face and hair and hope to come out on the other side largely unscathed.

Is it worth it?

I was spoiled with my first box in that I got it for $10, which was a great price. At $25.00, the box really needed to step up its game to get me to stick with it. Am I absolutely blown away and worshiping the Allure gods? No. But I’m happy with this month’s haul. I enjoy the variety of mask options, especially with winter right around the corner. This was also a great box for gifting – the masks make great gifts or stocking stuffers if you don’t think you’ll need quite so many mask options. In addition, the Bento Box had the absolutely cutest eyeshadow trio (but maybe I’m just a sucker for nice packaging). While I think the prices for the individual items is ridiculous, for $25.00, September’s box turned out to be a good deal.

I still haven’t made use of my $10 credit that I received for the open product in last month’s box, but I’m trying to find something I really want since they don’t offer free shipping on small orders.

With that said, I think I’ll stick it out and see what next month brings before I explore other boxes to spend $25.00 on, monthly.
