Ipsy Glam Bag September 2023 Review: I’m FALLing Behind
I’ll admit I’m slacking. This came in the mail late last week and I’m just now getting to opening it as I’ve felt like garbage the past few days. But alas, Ipsy is here and she’s ready for her review! It seems we got a bonus product this month, can you beLeaf that? Okay, done with the fall jokes for now.

“The spray” – well, this comes with perfect timing. The description claims this setting spray will last for 16 hours or longer. Next month is my sister’s wedding, so we’re gonna really put this baby to the test. Fingers crossed.
“The gloss” – this color is similar to last month’s lip product, it’s a moody mauve. This is not a product that I’d pick for myself, but I’m excited to give this one away as it is a nice color with a lot of shimmer. Not my thing, but hey – it’s cute!
“The highlighter” – unfortunately, the highlighter is a bit of a mess and left a shimmery coat on everything else in the bag. I don’t blame that on Ipsy or the manufacturer though, I’m assuming the transit was rough. That being said, she’s certainly sparkly.
“The wash” – I haven’t even opened it and you can smell how minty and refreshing it smells through the seal! Unfortunately, it’s meant for oily skin and I’m afraid this is going to make my face drier than the Sahara. I might pass this one along or use it on my chest/back during post-workout showers, but seriously it smells lovely. I could see how some people might be turned off and think it smells a bit too much like toothpaste though.
“The cream” – it just so happens that I love First Aid Beauty. I’ve tried numerous FAB products (thanks to Ipsy) and they never disappoint. I seriously can’t wait to break into this and I’m thrilled by how large the sample is. Ipsy has really turned me onto FAB and I can’t get enough.
“The bag” – this month’s bag is another funky, colorful pattern adorned with a festive tassel. Really, one of these days I’ll get around to repurposing one. Last month’s bag also featured a colorful pattern, in case you missed it.
Is it worth it?
Let me start by saying that I wasn’t expecting the bonus item this month. I double checked my order to make sure I didn’t accidentally order something extra, and nope. I’m not sure if this was a happy mistake or what, but I’ll gladly accept it. Thanks, Ipsy!
Even without the bonus item, this month’s products are valued at approximately $34.05 (excluding the bag, which I’m a sucker for). For roughly $16.00 after shipping, I’d say we’re still making out really well with Ipsy. Add in the $30 bonus item, and the value is excellent this month. Ipsy Glam Bag is honestly great for dipping your toes in and trying new products. Of course it will be hit or miss some months, but the price is reasonable and the variety is good. Plus, the products and bags you don’t mesh with make for great little gifts and giveaways! (Am I the only one who is Christmas shopping/planning already?)
Again, sorry for the delay this month. Also, working out how to take the best product pics and how in-depth to go on the individual products. It’s a work in progress 🙂
