Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice: FabFitFun Fall 2023

Posted bySunboxed Posted onAugust 8, 2023 Comments1

It’s funny how even when we already know what’s in the box, it’s still so exciting to open it. After plunging back into a FabFitFun subscription after a long hiatus, I could not wait to open my Fall 2023 box. It arrived Saturday as my husband and I were pulling out of the driveway to go see Haunted Mansion (worth). We quickly stopped at the end of the driveway and he grabbed the package and ran it to the back door for safekeeping until we got home. With a belly full of popcorn, we arrived home and I tore in!

Contents:

  1. Alice + Olivia Duffle Bag in Positano Stripe ($90.00)
  2. Reebok Smart Jumprope ($40.00)
  3. Living Proof® Smoothing Boar Bristle Hair Brush ($45.00)
  4. Blume Buds 48 Pack ($30.00)
  5. Cuccio Somatology Botanicals Hand and Body Wash Sandalwood & Sage ($39.00)
  6. Obé Waistpack + 1 Month Free Trial ($40.00)

Grand total: $284.00

Jumping into fall..

So, my thoughts on this box.. Would I ever spend that much, individually, on any of the above items? No. But then again, I’m pretty cheap. But come on, $30 for some pimple stickers? Oof. With that being said, getting all of the above for a total of about $50.00? I can work with that.

While I’ve only had the items for a matter of days, everything appears to be of a high quality. The duffel bag feels well built, the stitching is nice and sturdy, and the zipper pull is a nice touch. This bag is probably the item that I was most excited for. I was definitely torn between this a the other category options, however I’m glad I went with the striped bag.

I’ve yet to test out the jump rope and hand/body wash, but I’ll report back. I have high hopes for the jump rope, it’ll be very convenient come winter when I don’t want to go outside but lack the overhead inside to use a “normal” jump rope. Keep in mind it can also be used as a normal jump rope, too! They call it a waist pack, but let’s be real, it’s a bona fide fanny pack and I love it. The color, the material, just yes. I don’t imagine I’ll use the 1-month trial but it’s a nice touch. The brush has shed a few bristles, but otherwise it’s been working well on my fine hair – we’ll see how it holds up over time. As I said earlier, I think $30.00 for pimple patches is a bit much, but they certainly work so I have no complaints.

There were a few “bonus” items in this season’s box: a HelloFresh promo, a FabFitFun scratch-off style ticket, and a bag of Ricola throat lozenges, which will come in handy once the weather starts to change! While I am not currently in need of a HelloFresh promo and didn’t win anything on the scratch-off, it’s a nice touch. I’ll never complain about receiving extra items, if I can’t use them, I’m sure I’ll find someone who can.

Overall, this box was worth it for me. As my first box back, I didn’t want to gamble on any mystery items and selected each of the six items so I knew what I was getting myself into. As someone who is very impatient, I love having this option but also kind of miss the element of surprise.
